The first debut album from Geese’s frontman, Cameron Winter, breaks out like something ageless: it’s difficult to say, just by listening to it, in which year this album came out.
Incredible to say, just 2024. This ageless folk piece is brilliant, deep in thoughts, and quite different from other contemporary folk albums seen around.
There are a couple of very well written and composed tracks (Nausicaa, Love Takes Miles, $0) and i’ve also really appreciated the ending track - Can’t Keep Anything.
Overall, i’m not really fond of this. I don’t know why: i love his voice, his style, the composing is amazing as well as the lyrics, but i kinda have the impression he’s going out of timing (probably a desired effect)
